Almost 300 start-ups from 24 countries across the CEE region submitted their applications to the fifth edition of PowerUp. The competition, organised by InnoEnergy, provides a unique opportunity for ambitious businesses to secure financial backing and develop their ideas on a global scale. Here are the next finalists who moved to the final stage of PowerUp! – the Grand Final that will take place on 21 May 2019 in Krakow.

Green Charger, Winner of the Country Final in Bulgaria

A unified platform for seamless integration between the different electric vehicle charging station providers which enables identification methods like RFID cards and apps to work on each other's devices and redirects payments online.  The B2B model enables charging with any card, anywhere, on the same basis as ATMs. 

Smart Meter Anywhere, Winner of the Country Final in Greece

SMA is developing a low cost smart meters for off-grid applications in the developing world.

Ride Now, Winner of the Country Final in Czechia

A unique solution for commuters that connects drivers and passengers in real time with people who are travelling in the same direction. Using an algorithm based on both big and open data, they make ridesharing easier while as a bonus calculating the kilometers saved and reduced CO2 emissions for carpoolers.

We already know more than half of the teams who will compete in the Grand Final. Five more to go. We can’t wait to meet them!
